Anzac Biscuits

On Monday a group of children made Anzac biscuits.  They first had to watch a YouTube clip on how to make them and write instructions to follow.
Mrs Lumsden came in and helped the children follow their instructions to make some yummy biscuits.

Week 3 Term 2

This week everyone presented their speeches to the class.  The quality of speeches was amazing.  These can all be viewed on your child's individual blog and we are in the process of creating a class padlet of speeches that will be posted onto our blog in week 4.

For our inquiry we have been learning all about planet earth and the moon.  You will see a post about what we have learnt about planet earth on the blog and we will be posting about what we have learnt about the moon soon.

Week 2 Term 2

This week we started writing our speeches in preparation to present them next week. We were able to look back on some of the year four blog posts from last year to see what their speeches were like last year and reflect on what they could improve on for this year.

For our strand maths we are focusing on shapes and space. This week we went around the school taking photos of 3D shapes we see.

At Celebration Time this week we celebrated great learning from Liana, Asha, Sophie and Arden. 

Our MVP this week was Hunter who demonstrates our school value of Co-operation.

Week 1 Term 2

What a fantastic week we have had back in Team Tui.  Everyone came back refreshed from holidays and continued their great learning attitudes and were all ready to get into another term of learning.

On Wednesday we were lucky to go and watch the production of Bad Jelly the Witch.





Over the holidays and the past week children made flags to support the Westpac Trust Rescue Helicopter.  On Friday the student council chose winners from each room.  Brenton came 3rd, Emily 2nd and Chloe 1st for Team Tui.  As a school we raised around $130 for the appeal.

Emma also won a spot prize for making a donation.


This week at Celebration Time we celebrated great learning from Lauryn and Brenton.

Welcome Back to Term 2

I hope you all had a great holiday and managed to have some fun as well as keeping up with your learning!!
This term is two weeks shorter than last term and there are a lot of things happening, so please check out the Termly Events page to get up to speed with what is happening.

There are a few changes I have made to the class blog as well as all the individual learning blogs.  Please take time to explore and have a look at the changes.

I met with Miss Williams  who is starting in Week 5 of this term, during the holidays and she is very excited to meet everyone when she comes to visit on the 26th and 27th May.

It is going to be a fantastic term filled with lots of learning!!!
