The children have been creating fotobabbles this week for their individual blogs about our new school logo. Be sure to check out their blogs to hear how they describe what it means.
It was great to have our LMV Athletics on Wednesday. Everyone participated so well and hopefully we have a few children qualify for the Southland Athletics.
Now that athletics is finished we will begin swimming with our REAP instructors week 8 and will be swimming everyday for two weeks. This is a great opportunity for the children to further their swimming skills.

Term 1 Week 3
Wow what a great week we had with the weather!
This week Lorne from Sports Southland started his 6 week programme with us, working on Run, Jump, Throw. This week he introduced us to the correct way to run, how to jump off two feet and land on two feet, and he also introduced us to some throwing apparatus that we will be using next week.
We had some great learners to celebrate this week at Celebration Time.
For inquiry this week, we discussed our school motto and what it means. We also discussed why we have a new school logo and what the picture actually means. All the children should be able to discuss it with you at home.

Term 1 Week 1
Welcome back everyone to a new year in Team Tui. What great weather it has been to start the year!!!
This is our awesome bunch of learners in Team Tui this year. It is going to be a great year of learning and already everyone has either remembered routines from last year or have very quickly picked up on the new routines.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be learning routines for reading, writing and maths. I will also be carrying out some testing to see all the fantastic learning that has been happening over the holidays.

Week Seven Term Four
Wow things are really starting to get busy for the end of year.
We have begun our concert practice and it is great to have costumes starting to come to school. The theme this year is Animal Kingdom.
It has been wonderful having Mrs Pollard and Mrs Knapp help out with swimming. Everyone is making great progress with some children reaching or passing their expectation for their year level.

We have been making paper mache insects as part of our inquiry on Minibeasts. The children had to choose an insect and then using paper mache create their chosen insect.
The children have created a fotobabble on their own blogs about their insects.
Only TWO weeks left of the school year!
