The rocky shore
Today we started learning about different areas of a rock pool, we learnt that there is a low tide zone, mid tide zone, high tide zone and splash zone. We looked at the different animals that live at each zone. Our independent activity for the afternoon was to match up some rock pool creatures and their names, this gave us the chance to get to know some of the different animals.

Clockwise
Today we became 'clockwise' and started learning about o'clock and half past. Some of us got our work finished early so we got the chance to use play dough to make hands on a clock.

Cricket skills
Today we were lucky enough to get to practice some of our cricket skills with Jamie from southland cricket. We played some games and practiced our throwing technique- it was a whole heap of fun and we were getting pretty good by the end of the lesson.
