Shapes

Today we started looking at 2d shapes. We had a chat about different ones that we know of. 

Triangles, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, rhombus, diamond, trapezium, circles ...... What shapes can you spot in our shape pictures?

                

Maths today

Here are some snaps of the Team Tui maths children hard at work today! 

The squares group were hard at work practicing drawing arrays and the circles were working on mathletics.

Time-saving appliances

For homework this week we had to research a 'time-saving' appliance. We had to look around our houses to find a piece of technology that has changed over time.

We wrote down,the features of the technology, how it has changed over time and how it makes our lives easier.

Making polar fleece

Since the winter has hit and we found out Team Kereru is making beenies, we re going to jump on board and keep Team tui children warm by making some Winter scarves!

We will check out how technology has helped people to recycle plastic to make material!!
