Temperature

Today we learnt that degrees Celsius is what we use to measure the temperature. We decided as a class that we think the temperature is about 10degreea Celsius.

In pairs we had to read the weather section of the newspaper And record the high and low temperatures in different places, learn what the different pictures mean and find the temperature is cities all over the world.

Class crabs


In Team Tui we have been learning all about sketching. We used pictures of crabs and had a go at copying them using charcoal and sketching pencils, they look fabulous!

Classifying animals

Today team tui looked at classifying animals. We classified some creatures that live I. Rock pools into different groups. We learnt about five differnt groups, fish, molluscs,Echinodermata, crustaceans and seaweed. Scientists identify animals in these groups by what they look like and how they behave. 

As a class we put the animals where we think they best fit.

Crabs

Today we learnt how to take notes!

As a class we read a book about crabs and had to record the key words to help us remember the different crab facts. This is also helping us to plan our writing. Keep your eyes peeled for how we are going to display our awesome facts!!
