Today we got into groups and had a look at different photos that were taken during the war. We had to answer some questions and present our findings back to the class. The photos made some interesting conversations.

Tree planting
Today Edendale school planted a pine tree for the anzac centenary. We had Nat a RSA who came to join us for the ceremony. This tree is special because it was authenticated from Turkey.
Nat was a soldier in World War Two and he has been attending the war veteran for Edendale for the last 40 years.

Anzac wreath
Today we got together with our buddy class team kea to make some anzac wreaths!
Mrs R read us a book about what happens at a dawn service and we talked about why we always have Poppy's when we celebrate Anzac Day.
We had heaps of fun and look forward to going over to see the memorial on Friday.

Who has the longest?
Today we learnt how long a cm is.
Using 1cm blocks we measured how long different parts of our hands are.
We measured how long our palm is, our longest finger, shortest finger and length of our thumb. We had to make sure that the blocks were touching as we were measuring to make sure we were finding out the correct length.
