On Wednesday we travelled to the Southland Museum with Team Pukeko and a wonderful bunch of parent helpers. We learnt all about how Maori arrived in NZ and Southland, the types of food they brought with them and the animals. We learnt how they hunted for food too.
We went through the Maori Gallery and the Tungaru Exhibition then got to do some Maori art and play some Maori games and intruments. It was a fantastic learning experience!
